Phoneme Recognition

Phonemes are the most atomic components of speech that we can recognize. They’re less than a syllable. In my undergraduate data science capstone, I built a custom phoneme-recognition module with TensorFlow and evaluated it against an out-of-the box software called PocketSphinx. Along with two classmates, I learned about the TensorFlow framework, neural networks, and speech recognition. I wrote the paper attached here.
